A couple weeks ago Matt and I were invited to check out Live! Spa & Salon located at Live! Casino & Hotel in Arundel Mills for a couples massage and an in-spa brunch. It was just the Sunday morning relaxation we needed after a busy beginning of the year.
Having never visited the Live! Casino & Hotel I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and a beautiful lobby that included a giant heart upon arrival. I found out this heart is a permanent fixture at Live! hotel that’s part of the Cordish Art Collection which also includes Andy Warhol and pieces from other well-known artists.
From there we easily made our way up to the Live! Spa via the lobby elevator. Exiting on the spa floor, were greeted by a friendly receptionist. She welcomed us, checked us in, and walked us to the locker rooms to change for our day of relaxation.
This was not before I marveled at the exquisite mural on the wall to the right of the check in desk.
Walking into the Ladies locker room I was already feeling relaxed. I was able to snag some photos of the Ladies locker room but obviously didn’t go into the Mens 🙂 . Matt did say it was just as picturesque though.
After spending some time changing into our robes, Matt and I met in the co-ed waiting/relaxation room to settle in for a bit before our couples massage. Complete with a peaceful water fountain, some fruit infused water, various teas and light snacks it was the perfect space for us to begin to shut off our minds and be in the moment.
After a couple minutes of settling we were greeted by two friendly Spa employees who let us know they would be giving us our massages that morning. We were taken to a serene room and in order to take full advantage of the relaxation I went and left my phone in the locker room. All I’ll say is that the massage was exactly what we both needed. After our 50 minutes we both were essentially puddles of relaxation… in the best way possible.
We were then taken back to the co-ed waiting/relaxation room where we were able to order some lunch. We decided on a yogurt parfait, a chicken sandwich and some avocado toast… all to share. We also topped it all off with a glass of champagne, each (not to share).
We were rather hungry and dug into the avocado toast and chicken sandwich rather quickly, but I was able to snag a photo of the gorgeous yogurt parfait before we began digging in.
Overall, our morning at Live! Spa was deemed a success by not only myself but Matt as well. This was his first massage and I think I’ve officially convinced him that couple’s massages are necessary on a regular basis. I call that a win-win right?
If you’re looking to treat yourself this month, check out Live! Spa’s March specials. I personally cannot wait to head back for another massage. I’m also currently considering grabbing some girlfriends and having a Spa’rty , if you’ve never heard of it… trust me you’re going to want to immediately book!
Tell me, have you ever been to Live! Spa? Have a favorite spa out there? I’d love to hear what you thought in the comments below!
I hope you enjoyed my review of Live! Spa! I would like to send a huge thank you to Stanton Communications, Inc. and Live! Spa for allowing Matt and I to have the perfect Sunday morning by providing us the massages and lunch!
