pack it up.

pack it up.

Packing has always been a tough one for me. There should 100% be a college course on ‘Effective Packing’. I mean there’s the ‘roll technique’ – there’s the ‘plan out your outfits technique’ – I’ve tried many and I still struggle when it comes time to figure out what needs to go into my bag for a quick weekend getaway. Anyone else?

Well this past year I’ve been getting lots of practice – whether it’s been a quick work trip (when I have no-one to help me with my oversized suitcase so I have to carry-on and pack light), a Bachelorette weekend (where I’m cramming “Bach Weekend” tote bags into my carry-on alongside my daily attire), or a weekend getaway where checking a bag just sounds like a hassle. I’m starting to finally feel like I have a system down.

As I mentioned in my last post I’m heading to Charleston this weekend for Charleston Wine + Food. Temperatures are expected to be mid-60’s to 70’s, so not too warm, but I always feel the need to bring a swimsuit – especially when it’s a new one 🙂 . I mean…our hotel does have a heated pool!

Every year around my Birthday (cough, March 9th, cough) I treat myself to one new swimsuit – a Birthday suit if you will. I typically go to South Moon Under because right around the beginning of March they release their latest swim collection for Spring Breakers and the selection is  amazing. If you’re #cravingcurrenty a new suit for an upcoming trip to warmth OR for this summer this should be on your list of places to stop.

I’m talking like…right now you should hit this store up because from March 3rd – March 27th ALL swimwear and coverups are 15% off. And bonus – if you’re around this weekend (3/4 – 3/5)  they are offering an in-store only opportunity to win a  F R E E  yes, FREE swimsuit! Does it get much better than that?

Now back to my Birthday suit.

Ever since the one-piece swimsuit came back into style I’ve been all about them. I found so many adorable ones at South Moon but below are some of my favorites.

From the left: Robin Piccone | Dolce Vita | La Blanca – Over-the-Shoulder | La Blanca – Goddess

I ultimately went with the black La Blanca suit because it went perfect with this ‘Do Not Disturb hat that I added to my collection.

It was a tough decision though – I couldn’t get over the amazing color of the other La Blanca suit.

While that suit is simple + classic I fell in love with the criss-cross detail of this black suit and my decision landed there.

Even if I don’t get to wear my suit this weekend – it’s going to be perfect for all this Summer’s boat and beach days.

So tell me – are you heading anywhere this Spring for a ‘Spring Break‘ trip? Or just need a new swimsuit? If so, check out South Moon Under this weekend and be sure to tag #cravingcurrently in any purchases! I can’t wait to see!

XXOO!

A huge thanks to South Moon Under for giving me the opportunity to get my Birthday swimsuit shopping on!
