balt restaurant week.

balt restaurant week.

The time has come Baltimore; the time to try all those amazing restaurants you’ve been dying to try!

I don’t know about you, but I always find myself scouring all the menus to find the best sounding three courses each year. I tend to narrow them down to two or three and then check for reservations – since the ones I want to try usually are the ones that fill up pretty quickly.

This year I had the honor of getting a special preview of the Corner Restaurant & Charcuterie Bar menu the Thursday BEFORE restaurant week started. The best part about it – they had been on my list for this restaurant week!

If you’re #cravingcurrently some pictures to go along with the drool worthy Corner Charcuterie menu – keep scrolling ;).

As you know with Restaurant Week you get the option of choosing an appetizer, entrée, and dessert, all for a fixed price between $20-$35. With this tasting, I was able to try a multitude of options – all of which were  A M A Z I N G – so I’m just going to say, you should probably go with a friend or two so you can all try all the options and share bites. Just a tip!

The Apps…

Chilled Pea & Spinach Soup

I never thought I’d enjoy a chilled soup but boy I did! There were also chunks of smoked hock and cheesy crutons. Perfection.

Do I need to say more? The place is called Corner CHARCUTERIE people!

Burrata Cheese with Roasted Baby Beets

I love me some burrata – the beets I was a little hesitant on, but once trying I was hooked. It may have been my favorite part of this dish.

Wild Boar Rack

I had never tasted wild boar before – and this was not only a gorgeous presentation, it was cooked to perfection. Served over braised kale, apple butter and black-eyed pea salad with lemon thyme demi-glaze. I’m currently drooling…

Pan Seared Duck Breast

I have recently really gotten into eating duck. If you would have asked me in high school or even college to eat duck I would have looked at you with three heads, but now, I’m all about it. This dish in particular had a vegetable Israeli cous cous salad with a sweet cherry reduction  that took it over the top!

Sesame Encrusted Tuna

Seaweed salad is my  j a m  people. I love it! The tuna in this dish, again, was cooked to just the perfect rare and served with bamboo rice, grilled bok choy and a coconut shrimp broth. Each bite was more and more amazing.

The Finale – Desserts

Desserts deserve to be photographed many times :).

Chocolate Dessert

This chocolate cake had this crunchy center layer that was out of this  w o r l d. I literally could not get enough bites of this dreamy cake.

Brandied Cherry Bread Pudding

All I’m going to say is, apparently I REALLY like bread pudding. 🙂 This was eaten pretty methodically to get every bite.

Crème Brulee

How do you NOT order crème brulee? Simply amazing.

Ok people – wipe the drool from your keyboard or iPhone and get to Corner Charcuterie Bar ASAP. They don’t take reservations but if you have to wait – grab a drink at their adorable bar. The ambiance in this place is just as on point as their food. Hey, you might even see me there again eating all these dishes…. #dontjudgeme.
